Dr. Isabelle Leclerc is a specialist in endocrinology and metabolism, with university and clinical training acquired in Canada and Europe.

 

A graduate of the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Medicine (MD) in 1991, she completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Nutrition in 1993 at the same institution. She then pursued a specialization in internal medicine, followed by endocrinology and metabolism, obtaining her specialist certification in internal medicine and Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCP[C]) in 1995. In 1996, she received her specialist certification in endocrinology and metabolism, along with the Royal College’s Certificate of Special Competence.

 

Her international experience was further enhanced in 2001 with the completion of a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at René Descartes University – Paris V, in France. After a brief return to Canada in Edmonton, she continued her academic career in the United Kingdom, where she was registered with the General Medical Council from 2005, earning full and specialized recognition in endocrinology and diabetes. In 2009, she became an affiliate member of the Royal College of Physicians in London.
