Easy access to a doctor without moving
With the fast-paced nature of life, we understand that our medical care offerings need to adapt to your busy schedule or your inability to travel. There are also things in life that we cannot control, such as where illness may strike.
That’s why we offer telemedicine services designed to provide you with access to a family doctor when you need it. Our doctors are available remotely by phone or video conference, depending on the reason for consultation and your preference, on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
Rest assured that Lacroix telemedicine offers you the same level of discretion and security that you would have in person at one of our private clinics. We make reasonable efforts to protect the security and confidentiality of information transmitted and received remotely through phone or electronic technology (telemedicine platform, email, etc.).
Why Choose Lacroix Medical Clinics?
Lacroix Private Medicine represents the first and largest network of private clinics in Quebec. For over 10 years, we have been distinguished by the quality and variety of our services. Today, this makes us the benchmark for private healthcare throughout the province.
In this regard, our ability to take care of your health goes far beyond telemedicine. If, after consulting with one of our doctors via teleconsultation, you should require a test, treatment, or procedure, we will be able to follow up with you. Because Lacroix Medical Clinics offer:
To get started, you need to contact our customer service team by phone (1-855-841-1911) to schedule an appointment time. This appointment scheduling call can be made at any time of the day or night.
We kindly request you to be available 30 minutes before and 60 minutes after the scheduled consultation time. 48 hours before your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for your consultation. After that, the steps vary depending on the type of telemedicine: teleconsultation or video consultation.
If your consultation is by phone, the healthcare professional assigned to you will contact you at the phone number provided in your records to initiate the consultation.
If your consultation is via video, an email will be sent to you with a web link that will allow you to connect to the virtual room for your appointment. You should log in 30 minutes in advance from a device (tablet, cell phone, or computer) with a functional camera and microphone. To make the most of your consultation time with the doctor, we strongly recommend that you prepare any relevant documents (photos, prescriptions, etc.) in advance. When the time comes, the healthcare professional will connect to start the consultation.
Following the appointment, a member of our team will contact you to handle any requests or prescriptions issued by the healthcare professional you met with.
Telemedicine should not be used in cases of medical emergencies. Similarly, if you require immediate assistance, or if your condition appears severe or deteriorating rapidly, please contact the nearest emergency service.
It is the responsibility of the healthcare professional to determine whether your health condition is truly suitable for a telemedicine consultation. Therefore, based on their clinical judgment, the healthcare professional may direct you to the appropriate resources for an in-person evaluation or tests.
